Holy Communion to the Sick and Housebound

Each week a team of Special Ministers brings Holy Communion and our parish greetings to the housebound and to those in nursing homes.

Nursing Homes
The Special Ministers conduct a Liturgy of the Word and Communion at  Capricorn Adventist Retirement Village, Capricorn Gardens, Sunset Ridge as follows:
  • Capricorn Gardens each Thursday commencing 10.30 am,
  • Capricorn Adventist Retirement Village - The first 3 Fridays of each month commencing at 10.30 am,
  • Sunset Ridge at Zilzie - Each Sunday commencing at 9.00 am.

Private Homes
The Special Ministers visit the private homes of each of those listed in the  Communion list. The minister conducts a short prayer service during which they receive Holy Communion.

This is such an important ministry as it allows those who are unable to attend Mass to share in the Eucharist and keep in touch with their parish community.
